I have been throwing artwork scans into the folder for this website for quite a while now. I keep meaning to add some pages. My intention was to have some order to this- but hey- I think this is going to be a page of randomness.

Playing with digital images. I did this in Photoshop, I started with a scanned background- added a scan of a stamped image using one of the Goddess doll stamps I designed. Then I layered some flower photographs, a flower photograph I had spherized, and my face. I added the text and used one of the lighting filters to get the bright spot of light.
Then I realized I could switch out the face and make anyone a godess. So I did one for my friend Lea Cioci, too.
Must keep this in mind for gift cards for friends.

          Wax

Wax is cool stuff. Beeswax or colored wax- both nifty. I'd like to get some real encaustic waxes at some point, but they are expensive. So I've been making do with a block of beeswax and some old crayons.

2007 - I have acquired encaustic waxes. I took some classes with Cory Celaya.
Encaustic wax rocks. Some of my work with encaustics.

I glued an inkjet printout of one of my drawings onto a journal cover. I added a heavy layer of wax, mostly beeswax, but some wax that was meant for coloring candles got layered on too. Then I added some PearlX Powder. I just applied this with my iron.

The iron meant for clothing. It's not like I had ironed any clothes recently.

Very tired- I'll work on this some more another day.
